Pundit KOKA arrested over 'threats against the life of the artiste Ohemaa Mercy'

Ohemaa Mercy's team has caused the arrest of entertainment pundit and event organiser Kwaku Osei Krankye Aseidu (KOKA).
"The team and its lawyers take full responsibility for reporting the threats made against the life of the artiste Ohemaa Mercy, which led to the arrest," a statement shared on Facebook by the Gospel star explained.
She noted the innocence of "Becky of JoyNews" in the matter, adding the TV presenter was not "responsible for the arrest of KOKA".
"We will provide further updates as necessary in due time," the statement concluded.
KOKA was once Ohemaa Mercy's media representative and event organiser. In 2021, while on Joy Prime, Ohemaa Mercy described KOKA as God's divine answer to her prayer; a "great" resource who led the resurgence of her annual Tehillah Experience event.
On his Facebook, KOKA has accused "Becky of Joy News, you set me up with police".
Becky, on her part, has denied any involvement in the said predicament.
"I've been inundated with calls and text messages from family, friends, and well wishers since KOKA mentioned my name in a post yesterday.
"I wish to state categorically that I have no idea about the said "set up." I'm as surprised as KOKA himself following the turn of events.
"I have no intention to go into the details of the matter as it's being handled by the police.
"Hopefully, when the dust settles, everyone will know the truth," she said on her Facebook timeline today.
