East Legon accident: See details of suspect driver Elrad Amoako's 6-month sentencing

The Accra Central Juvenal Court has sentenced Elrad Amoako to six months in custody.
The 16-year-old had four charges brought against him with eight counts.
He was charged for manslaughter regarding the respective deaths of Justine Agbenu and Maame Dwomah Boateng.
Count three was for negligently causing harm, to driver Joseph Ackah, and passengers Berla Boateng, and Kendra Boateng.
Dangerous driving was another charge brought against Elrad. The other count was for dangerous driving resulting in the destruction of a GHS10,500 light pole belonging to the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG).
Driving without valid licence was the last charge and count.
Elrad changed his plea, also, this time around pleading guilty.
He learned his sentence was to be served at the senior corrections centre for six months, and report to a probation officer every Friday.
And he signed an undertaking not to drive till he was 18.
Elrad’s parents Bishop Salifu Amoako and Mouha were also fined 500 penalty units, equivalent to GHS6,000.
Bishop Salifu Amoako will pay GHS8,000 for the light pole, furthermore.
In their separate court case concerning permitting a minor and unlicensed person to drive, Bishop Salifu Amoako, Elrad’s mother Mouha and the personal assistant, Linda Bempah, from whom the car key was received by Elrad, will reappear in court on January 13, 2025.
According to the prosecution, they have come by new findings in the cause of their investigations, and so they want to amend the charges.
