Volta police arrests 3 for murder, trying to sell dead man for GHS7,000

The Volta Regional Police Command has arrested three men for alleged murder.
Kalefe Korku, 42; Afedo Kpotor, 21; and Ametoke Sitsofe, 27, were arrested in their attempt to sell the body of the murder victim, 30-year-old Albert Anyinado, to a fetish priest at Agbozume.
The police got intelligence of the deal and went undercover by feigning interest in the body.
The police offered to buy the body for GHS7,000.
The rendezvous was set for a place called Agavedzi near a lagoon for the transaction.
However, the suspects abandoned the body and bolted upon seeing the police at the meeting point.
They were pursued and arrested in their homes at Agavedzi, Agbozume and Adina.
The body has been deposited at Ketu South Municipal Hospital morgue awaiting autopsy.
The suspects are currently in custody assisting the police with investigations.
