Commonwealth introduces accredited e-learning courses to Ghanaians
The Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council has introduced specially designed accredited courses to increase the knowledge and employability of Ghanaians during the COVID era.
The Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council is accredited to the Commonwealth Secretariat.
With a mandate by the Commonwealth Heads of Government to promote trade and investment, it has outdoored the Advancing Business Education-designed Commonwealth Home Individual Management Education (CHIME) programme in Accra.
John Apea, Head of Mission for the Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council, said: “This online programme is a great equaliser because anyone, anywhere, irrespective of their previous qualifications, age, background or employment status, can register, enroll and study. It is excellent value for money, and because it is very heavily subsidised, students can study 36 modules and gain accredited UK certificates for only GHS185. This equates to approximately less than GHS6 per module”.
“This programme is especially important during these uncertain COVID times as it allows all Ghanaians to exponentially increase their employability, knowledge and skills by earning accredited UK certificates across areas such as project management, business finance, business administration, operational management, customer service and communication.”
The Commonwealth is a voluntary association of 54 independent and equal countries. It is home to 2.4 billion people, including advanced economies and developing countries.
For the past 70 years, the Commonwealth has had a lasting impact on the promotion of peace, equality, democracy, human rights and access to quality education and health.
