9th Ghana Women of the Year Honours: First Lady Rebecca Akufo-Addo named Ultimate Woman
The Ultimate Woman of the Year at the 9th edition of the Ghana Women of the Year Honours was announced as H.E. First Lady Rebecca Akufo-Addo.
The event happened on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at the Palms Convention Centre, Accra.
Glitz Africa organises the Ghana Women of the Year Honours to duly recognise “change-makers, builders and pacesetters for their extraordinary efforts in the development of this nation”.
The 2024 edition had Mrs Rebecca Akufo-Addo as the Special Guest, apart from her Ultimate Woman of the Year honour.

“I am deeply honoured to be named Woman of the Year, at the 9th annual Ghana Women of the Year Honours. I am humbled that my work with the Rebecca Foundation and the Infanta Malaria Prevention Foundation, has earned me such recognition,” she remarked, September 16.
Mrs Akufo-Addo, also, congratulated the "former First Lady H.E. Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings on her Lifetime Achievement Award".
Furthermore, she lauded "all honourees for the incredible work they do in their respective fields".
Gospel star Celestine Donkor and Highlife/Afrobeats star Mr Drew were two of the entertainers billed for the 2024 Ghana Women of the Year Honours.
