In an official statement issued on behalf of Nananom and the people of Kwahuman, the Council described the loss as a “dark cloud over Ghana”, marking one of the most grievous moments in the nation’s recent history.
“We received with deep sorrow the untimely passing of Dr. Edward Omane Boamah and other distinguished state officials,” the statement read.
The Council paid a particularly heartfelt tribute to Dr. Omane Boamah, who hailed from Kwahu and was remembered as “a true son of Kwahu”.

“His service to Ghana was marked by clarity of purpose and integrity.
His loss is a grievous blow to his family, Kwahuman, and the entire Republic,” the statement noted.
Condolences were extended to the families of all eight victims, the Government of Ghana, and the entire nation as the country continues to reel from the effects of the crash.
In a spiritual appeal, the Kwahuhene prayed for divine peace for the departed and comfort for all who mourn.
“May the Almighty grant their souls peaceful rest and comfort all who mourn this national tragedy.”
