Ablekuma West: Health Directorate to begin Polio vaccination exercise today

The Ablekuma West Municipal Health Directorate has announced the commencement of a national Polio vaccination campaign.
The campaign, is in response to the ongoing circulating vaccine derived polio virus type 2 (cVDPV 2) outbreaks in the country.
The vaccination exercise will begin today, Wednesday, 5 October 2022 and end on Sunday, 9 October 2022.
The target age for the vaccination campaign is from 0-59 months (under 5 years).
A statement issued by the Ablekuma West Municiapal Health Directorate said: “Vaccination teams will move from House-House, Schools, Markets, Lorry stations, Churches, and all dwelling places in the Municipality to reach out to all eligible children.”
