COVID-19: Wa records first case – U/WR Min. confirms

Ghana's first COVID-19 case outside Accra, Kumasi, Obuasi and Tema has been recorded in the Upper West regional capital, Wa.
Regional Minister Mr Hafiz Bin Salih confirmed on Friday that a 42-year-old Ghanaian who visited the United Kingdom and Spain and returned through Egypt tested positive for the disease.
The minister made the revelation at a press in Wa.
The patient, who started showing symptoms about eight days ago, joined a public transport from Accra to Wa.
The Upper West Regional Director of Health, Dr Osei Kufour Afreh, told journalists that the test result came in on Friday.
Ghana has, so far, recorded one hundred thirty-six cases with three deaths and a recovery.
