2020 polls: Victory awaits NPP – Charles Acheampong

The New Patriotic Party’s parliamentary candidate for the Lower West Akyem Constituency, Mr Charles Acheampong, has urged all members of his party and Ghanaians in general to observe all the protocols outlined by the authorities in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic since victory awaits the New Patriotic Party and President Nana Akufo-Addo in the December polls.
In a commendation statement to the constituents after his victory in the recently-held parliamentary primaries of the party, Mr Acheampong said: “We have 'fought' a good fight, and God has seen us through successful elections. I appreciate you all for the strong support and believing in me and our cause to #DoMore to lift the face of the constituency”.
Mr Acheampong added: “I congratulate all the other aspirants and their teams for making the race exciting” and “I assure them of unity and love to work together for the betterment of the constituency, NPP, Ghana, Africa and the world as a whole”.
He said “being the youngest among them, I will consult and give them the respect they deserve”, saying: “As one family, I urge you all to get involved in the campaign for victory for the NPP”.
“I know we will work together to beat our common opponent in the forthcoming December 7 elections”, he asserted.
The candidate said he has put everything that “sought to divide us in these primaries” behind him so he can “forge ahead to secure victory for the NPP”, adding: “We will do this with discipline and hard work”.
“Let us work to convince the people of LWAC to give NPP another term to serve. I am proud to be your parliamentary candidate and the face of the party in LWAC going into the 2020 elections”, he noted.
“I assure you that we will do more to change the face of LWAC in the next four years... to bring changes in all sectors of governance – education, infrastructure, health, agriculture, sports, ICT among others”.
He thanked the chiefs and elders of Lower West Akyem “for allowing us to campaign on their land” and his “campaign team for their commitment and strategies” as well as the leadership of NPP, the local Council of Churches, the Muslim Council, and “all who went beyond the normal call, and supported to make this victory possible”.
“On this note, let me also kindly remind ourselves to observe the protocols by the government in fighting the deadly disease, #COVID-19, by washing our hands under running water, putting on our face masks, social-distancing and always having our hand sanitisers on us. We should not go out if it's unnecessary. With this, together, we will win the fight over Coronavirus”.
