Abanga is acting NDC chairman as Aseidu Nketia heads to India

The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has left Accra for a six-day visit to India.
In his absence, the party says Abanga Yakubu Alhassan, the Vice Chairman of the NDC will be in charge.
Comrade Alhassan, known for his steadfast commitment to the party's ideals and tireless dedication, had long been a trusted lieutenant of Mr Nketia.
The Director of Communications for the NDC, Kakra Essamuah, announced this transition of power in a statement on the 13th day of September 2023.
The statement said Comrade Abanga Yakubu Alhassan will assume the role of Acting Chairman, while Mr Nketia is away.
