Dr. Bawumia files nomination for NPP 2028 presidential primary today
Former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is expected to officially file his nomination today to contest in the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) presidential primaries ahead of the 2028 general elections.
The move will mark a significant step in Dr. Bawumia’s political journey as he seeks to lead the opposition party into the next national polls.
Filing his nomination formally places him in the race among other contenders, such as Bryan Acheampong, Kwabena Agyepong, Dr. Osei Adutwum, and former Education Minister, aiming to secure the NPP’s flagbearer slot for the second time.
Party supporters and key stakeholders are anticipated to accompany the Vice President as he submits his forms, underscoring the strong backing he enjoys within sections of the party.
