Big Push to be launched in Ho on Tuesday

President John Dramani Mahama will on Tuesday, September 16, officially launch the government’s flagship infrastructure programme, dubbed the “Big Push.”

The ceremony, scheduled to take place in Ho, the Volta Regional capital, will mark the formal introduction of the initiative aimed at accelerating infrastructure development across the country.

The Big Push is expected to channel significant investments into critical sectors such as roads, schools, hospitals, energy, and other public infrastructure, with the goal of boosting economic growth and improving the quality of life for Ghanaians.

The Government says the programme is part of President Mahama’s broader vision to modernise Ghana’s infrastructure base and create jobs through large-scale construction projects.

Tuesday’s launch in Ho is expected to attract key stakeholders, including policymakers, development partners, contractors, and community leaders, as the government outlines details of its implementation strategy.
