Black Queens Coach names 26-player squad for Pink Ladies Cup
Head coach Kim Lars Björkegren has selected a 26-player squad for the Pink Ladies Cup in the United Arab Emirates, as Ghana intensifies preparations for the upcoming Women's Africa Cup of Nations.
Announced on Friday, the squad features a mix of seasoned players and emerging prospects, with the technical team aiming to assemble a balanced and competitive side ahead of the continental tournament.
Experienced figures including Chantelle Boye-Hlorkah, Jennifer Cudjoe, Portia Boakye and Grace Asantewaa have been named, bringing leadership and stability to the group.
They are joined by younger players such as Alexandra Tay, Diana Amoako and Helen Alormenu, underlining the coach’s effort to blend youth with experience.
The Pink Ladies Cup is expected to provide valuable international competition, allowing the team to sharpen tactics, build cohesion and assess player readiness.
The tournament forms a key part of Ghana’s build-up as the Black Queens target a strong showing and aim to remain among Africa’s top women’s football nations.
