Black Queens begin training in Aston Villa facility, ahead of Dec 2 friendly with Lionesses of England
The Black Queens have officially opened camp in Birmingham, UK.
Arriving in the morning of Thursday, November 26, 2025, and lodging at the serene and secure Mercury Hotel, camp opened in the evening to begin preparations for an upcoming international friendly with the Lionesses of England. The game is on Tuesday, December 2, beginning at 7 PM.
Head coach Kim Lars Björkegren recorded 16 players in camp on the first day, kicking off a crucial training block at the Bodymoor Heath Training Ground, EPL side Aston Villa's ultramodern facility.
The team went undertook a "fluid session, focusing on ball movement, quick transitions, and building chemistry among the early arrivals," the GFA reported.
There are four more players expected to join their colleagues making 20 in total ahead of tomorrow’s training session.
