The Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Dr. Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, has strongly condemned the alleged sexual harassment involving an assistant headmaster of KNUST Senior High School captured in a viral video.

In a statement, Dr. Lartey described the incident as inhumane and unacceptable, stressing that such acts must not be condoned under any circumstances.

She emphasised that condemnation alone is not enough, calling for concrete measures to address and prevent further occurrences.

The Minister underscored the need to prioritise the protection of vulnerable individuals, particularly minors, to ensure they are neither victimised nor stigmatised.

She further called for heightened awareness and collective responsibility in safeguarding the rights and dignity of children and young people.

Dr. Lartey assured the public that her ministry is closely monitoring the situation and will collaborate with relevant authorities to ensure accountability and justice for the victims.
