Nkurakan and Tano Ano chiefs commend MCE for community projects

The projects include mechanised boreholes, KVIP facilities, and changing rooms for both nurses and mothers, among others.
Community leaders say the initiatives will significantly improve living conditions once completed.
Speaking at the ceremony, residents commended the government for addressing some of their long-standing challenges, particularly access to potable water.
Several women told reporters that the mechanised boreholes would ease their daily struggles in searching for water.
The chiefs assured the MCE that the people would take good care of the facilities after completion.
They, however, appealed for further support in the areas of roads and electricity to enhance development in the two communities.
MCE Pius Opoku expressed joy at the sod-cutting, noting that it was the first such project he had initiated since assuming office as Municipal Chief Executive.
He urged the contractor to deliver quality work within the scheduled time frame and appealed to residents to ensure proper maintenance of the facilities when they are handed over.
